Overwhelmed with Love

You always hear people say 'You'll never understand a mother's love until you have your own.' It is true! I hate when cliches prove themselves correct but I am just so in love with Shea.





Shea is such a loving, warm child that you just cannot help but fall in love with him. I've never known a child to be as gentle and kind as he is. He LOVES Charlie, whom he calls ChaCha, to pieces! He loves to play chase with her and gives her hugs and kisses every chance he gets. Today, he shared his beloved 'whooo' [horse] with her.

We can't wait to add Zoe Cate to our family and just multiply the joy our family already feels.

I think Shea is as excited as we all are! :)

Zoe Cate, Week 31

Eric and I have not done very good taking 'belly' pics this pregnancy. So I insisted the other night we take some.

I am carrying Zoe a lot different from the way I carried Shea!! She is very high, which makes simple tasks like bending over, painting toenails, etc, etc very hard to do!

We cannot wait to meet our sweet girl and I cannot wait to be able to sleep, breathe and bend over again. Thank goodness I have Eric, I could not get through this without him.

Priorities

Me: "Shea, would you like to read a book?"

Shea: "No."

Me: "Shea, would you like to dance?"

Shea: "Yea!!"

Sponge Painting!

Ok, proud momma here!! Shea had Vacation Bible School about 3 weeks ago and one of their crafts was to sponge paint. The organizers asked me if he had ever painted before because he was doing so good and didn't want any help [sound familiar?]. We haven't painted before [don't they know how messy that is??? :) ] . One lady sent me pics last night...isn't he cute!? Can't you just see how hard he is concentrating? Looks like I need to invest in some painting supplies.....

So, do you need a partner in crime to make you feel ok about consuming tons of calories and fat?? CALL TINA!!!!!! Our lunch today consisted of Fried Pickles, Mozzarella Sticks and Wing Chips [extra crispy]. That's it. I'm not sure who the instigator was. We both wanted junk and D's wings provided. I did, however, come home and eat a banana. If only we could do that everyday....

The Cousinhood of the Travelling Shorts!

My cousin, Alecia, gave us a pair of shorts that all 3 of her children have worn. Shea LOVES them!!! I imagine it has to do with the fact that there are BALLS! and BATS! all over them. So, the shorts live on!

Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Date!

Shea's little friend Evan came over last week while his mom ran an errand. The boys had a ton of fun!

Turns out that Noggin and I have this "baby-sitting" thing all figured out.....

The boys had a really good time. Shea introduced Evan to playing chase, at first Evan looked at Shea as if he had 3 heads but he quickly caught on! Then Evan had to go home and I was left with a sad boy missing his friend....

Pool Side

Shea is not a big fan of the pool. I am working to change that but at this point he's much happier sitting pool side with snacks. Sounds familiar.....

I thought this was a sweet picture. We were all on our way to see baby Zoe at my ultrasound appointment. Here's hoping Shea won't mind sharing the spotlight come October!!

Oh yea....my blog.....

Oh Hi!! So, ummmm....a few things have happened since my last post. We are expecting doodle #2!!! We've also already found out its a girl!!!! Eric and I were both COMPLETELY shocked. We just *knew* for sure it was another boy...nope....here comes Zoe!!! [name still on the table for debate though we are 99.9999999999% we are going with Zoe]
